Our Community
The Rev. Phil Glick, kneeling, and his wife, Barbara, laid a Memorial Day wreath Monday at the Town of Nags Head Memorial Marker during town Memorial Day services. Mayor Bob Oakes, left, presided at the sunshine blessed ceremony, a tribute to the fallen soldiers, sailors, airmen and Coast Guardsmen and to their families. Colonel Glick is head chaplain for the North Carolina National Guard. He spoke on the importance of remembering not only the war dead but their families and those currently serving in harm's way.
