Operations

What is an “Operations Ministry”?

It is the title we have given to a huge area of ministry given to each and every one of us as members of the St. Andrew’s community - the care and maintenance of all of our buildings and grounds!

You know that it is way too much for any one (or even several) of us to maintain in a way which will help us to grow our ministry in this place. Our worship, ministries, pre-school, activities and the many outside groups who use our facilities make this a never-ending, labor intensive ministry. This is all to say that every one of us need to both protect the gift we have been given by taking personal responsibility for its daily care as we use the facilities, and to be available on a periodic basis to help in its upkeep. This is our spiritual home. It is more than just a collection of church buildings. Our facilities are key tools we use in spreading the gospel to this community.

In order to maintain the facility without paying others to do it for us (a luxury which we, in fact, cannot afford) we are asking for your help. There are some tasks which require one person or several to accomplish on a regular basis. There are others which require the help of many for a morning or so. At right are listed several of our immediate needs. We want to include everyone in our ministries otherwise the same old folks will end up trying to do everything. We are a whole body of Christ and therefore need to help each other. If you are new to our community or have not yet committed to a ministry, this is a chance for you to be of real service. If you see this as an opportunity for your personal ministry to St. Andrew’s, contact Bill Froehlich at 480-2124 or Derek Stallings at ??? or email them at operations@saintandrewsobx.com.
