Children & Youth

Outreach Art Project
Note cards are still available for purchase in the Book & Card Shop.  The price is just $10 per set and two different sets available.  Money raised from this project was used to buy welcome packages for the lifeguards in Dare County.  This year be on the look out for our new art project.  Money raised will be used for outreach projects picked by the Sunday School children.  Please support their causes.

Youth
Our Journey to Adulthood program is going strong.  Join us and watch us grow!

St. Andrews by the Sea believes that as Christians, we are called to teach and educate, so we offer programs for our children that allow them to learn about the Bible and Episcopalian traditions and faith and to grow in spirit and knowledge.

Nursery
The nursery is available for infants and children during the from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. It is located in the Christian Education Hallway.

Children's Sunday School
Sunday School is from 9:00-9:45.  Breakfast follows in the parish hall.
Our Sunday School classes are broken into appropriate age levels and focus on several goals:

  • Offer our children a strong background in Bible
  • Teach our children about the Episcopal faith in a continuous, natural way throughout the Sunday School year
  • Encourage and increase regular attendance
  • Connect children with other age groups and with the church
  • Encourage children to be good stewards
  • Take part in outreach activities throughout the year.

Children's Chapel is held every Sunday except the 5th Sunday as part of the 10:30 service.  The children will meet in the Chapel at 10:30am and are returned to their parents during announcements.

Please note that we have children's worship bags at the entrance to the nave for those children who attend the morning worship service with their families.  Please return the bag at the end of the service.
