PinkFlamingoFlamingo Flocking Season
August - November
Sponsored by Outreach at St. Andrew's By-the-Sea

Surprise someone with a front yard full of bright, pink flamingos!  For a donation, you can have a flock of flamingos migrate to just about any residential front lawn.  When you order flocking members of the Flamingo Flocking crew, the FLOCKERS, will deliver the birds to unsuspecting yards to where they have been directed to roost.  Usually this will be done under the stealth of darkness!  Imagine the priceless look on someone's face when they discover the brilliant colored flamingos taking sanctuary at their home!  The flamingo flocking recipient will be left an explanation, care instructions and the number of the Flamingo Rescue Hotline. The FLOCKERS will then remove the birds within 48 hours.  You can choose the flock size: Small Flock 10 Flamingos for $10, Medium Flock  20 Flamingos $15 or a Large Flock of 40 birds for $20.

Why Flamingo Flocking?

Flamingo flocking is a fresh new idea that our church family can participate in and also help others through the many outlets Outreach sponsors.  Here are some great reasons to flock a friend:

  • Brighten someone's day
  • Great gift for the person who has everything!
  • An experience that will be long remembered
  • You want someone's attention or they need some!  Fun to give and to receive!
  • All proceeds benefit Outreach and are tax deductable!

Flocking Rules of Catch and Release:

To make this Outreach fundraiser successful, please consider the following before placing a flocking order.

  • Flocking should be done in good spirit and should never be malicious.
  • "Victim" should be good-natured and have a sense of humor
  • Flocking can only take place in residential front yards, no businesses please.
  • Flamingos can not migrate outside of Dare County! J
  • WE want this fundraiser to fun and safe for all involved, including our precious flamingos!

Avoid Getting Flocked

If you do not wish to the on the receiving end of a flocking there are 2 ways to be protected.  First you can be a Flocker which automatically grants you immunity from flocking and allows one free Flocking.  However you can purchase anti-flocking insurance for the entire flocking season for the cost of $20.00.
