The Rev. Phillip R. Glick is an Episcopal Priest and the rector of Saint An Well acquainted with Eastern North Carolina, he served Episcopal Churches in Moss Hill, Kinston, and Ahoskie NC before moving to Richmond, VA where he served as rector of St. David’s Church in Chesterfield County. Father Phil received a Master of Divinity from The School of Theology, The University of the South, Sewanee TN and a Bachelor of Arts from Methodist College, Fayetteville NC. He was ordained a deacon on June 24, 1986 and priest on January 10, 1987.
Father Glick also serves in the rank of Colonel as the State Chaplain for the North Carolina National Guard composed of over 13,000 Soldiers and Airmen. He was mobilized in 2003 and deployed to Afghanistan with the 1st Battalion, 130th Aviation Regiment (Attack); the first National Guard combat unit to be deployed to a combat zone since the Korean Conflict. Five years later, he was mobilized and deployed as the Brigade Chaplain for the 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team on its second deployment to Iraq in 2009, returning to the United States in February of 2010. He now serves as the Joint Force Headquarters Chaplain for the North Carolina National Guard, composed of some 12,000 Soldiers and Airmen. |
